Job Title: Supported Employment Manager [Full Time/Part Time]

Location: Gainesville, Ocala, Lake City

Compensation: Pay For Performance [Avg. 1st Year Compensation $40,000 – $60,000+]

 

The Supported Employment Manager will work directly with clients with disabilities, their supports, local businesses, and the state Vocational Rehabilitation agency to provide a 1-on-1 customized employment service of the highest quality.  The Supported Employment Manager’s goal is for each of their clients to have opportunities for gainful, sustainable employment while learning valuable vocational skills and employment-obtaining techniques.  The Supported Employment Manager will work directly under the Area Director.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Client employment preparation and skills training

  • Job development and community outreach

  • On-the-Job coaching and training

  • Effective communication with clients, businesses, and service partners

  • Manage case-load, with organization and prompt paperwork

  • Show keen understanding of client benefits and work incentives

  • Display utmost professionalism in order to keep organization, its name, and its staff above reproach

 

Successful candidates must have:

 

  • Current Florida driver’s license, vehicle registrations and proof of vehicle insurance with $50,000/$100,000 minimum coverage (In order to transport VR clients).

  • Master’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and written documentation (resume) of one year of successful experience and employment in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation program; OR,

 

  • Associates in Arts Degree from an accredited college or university and written documentation (resume) of two years of successful experience and employment in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation program; OR,

 

  • High School Diploma and written documentation (resume) of four years of successful experience and employment in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation program; OR,

  • If you have experience working or volunteering in a goal-oriented setting with people of differing abilities, please apply and explain how your experiences qualify you for the job.
